The Yulong International Racing College of Taiyuan University of Technology was established at the signing ceremony on August 4, 2018 by Taiyuan University of Technology and Shanxi Yulong Horse Industry Development Company Limited on the principle of “complementary advantages, sharing resources, coordinated development, mutual benefit”. According to the goal of high level and internationalization, both sides should play their respective advantages to build the “domestic first-class and internationally renowned Yulong International Horse Racing College of Taiyuan University of Technology”, and to train high-quality graduate students with wide and solid foundation and outstanding skills, and excellent applied undergraduates in horse industry, so as to create a domestic first-class high-end talent training base for horse racing, and to occupy the commanding height of talent training horse racing.
Taiyuan University of technology is responsible for formulating specific training programs, basic courses of general education for students in the direction of horse racing, and teaching basic course of some subjects. Shanxi Yulong horse industry development company limited is responsible for the construction of practical training base to ensure that it meets the requirements of teaching, training and practice. With its resources of horse racing at home and abroad, it assists Taiyuan university of technology in teacher training and introduction, professional courses and training system construction. Meanwhile, through Taiyuan University of Technology graduate education platform, the racing college strengthens the cooperation of horse racing industry scientific research, and domestic and foreign academic exchanges, to promote the scientific development of the horse racing industry.
The construction of the college implements the three-step strategy, that is, according to the orientation-major-college level by hierarchical model. In the early stage, the direction of horse racing was set up in the major of physical education, and the corresponding teachers, training mode and curriculum system were preliminarily explored, and the industry development was followed up. In the later stage, when conditions are met, the establishment of horse-racing related professional, expand the enrollment scale; The ultimate goal is to set up an independent institution, a racing college with complete categories, high-end training, perfect system and domestic first-class characteristics. At the same time, we will explore the mode of cooperative education at home and abroad, introduce and learn from foreign mature talent training systems, integrate with international talent training standards, and introduce and formulate standards for talent training and qualification certification in the industry.
